To Kanye, Love Schmidt

Closeup of Schmidt's latest manifestation of Kanye love - matching whale belts.

Two episodes in to season two of New Girl and it's become clear that Schmidt has a crush on Kanye West the size of Yeezy's ego (bygones, Ye. I love you for your oversized swag).

There is little doubt then which guy Max Greenfield is shopping for when he provided his list of go-to man prizes for the Daily Beast recently that included an indoor fur hammock and a killer whale submarine.

I Schmidt you not. Go ahead. Groan! It was too good to walk away from.

Frontline's "The Choice 2012" Airs Tonight

From The Washington Post's review:
This election-year, PBS “Frontline” franchise excels at surfacing and synthesizing the personal details that make the partisan clash more of a human story. The producers blend news clips, vintage video and in-person interviews to construct dual portraits that find their own rhythm, like a political junkie’s remix.
Bruised and battered as I'm feeling after last week's debate which I've privately started referring to as The Debacle I'm still excited to immerse myself in these two hours of what is sure to be exemplary documentary making. "The Choice" has become one of my favorite things about the election year as it's a melding of two things that make me feel alive: presidential politics and exemplary documentary production, especially when the latter is for television.

I know "New Girl" is on tonight but do yourself a favor and at least give it a slot on your record list. Check your local listings but it's on 9-11pm, EST.

Here's a Great Clip of Presidential Debate Moderator Jim Lehrer Getting Romneyed

Romney:  v. the act of obnoxiously talking over one's host, especially to eagerly explain how you'd like to cut them and their large yellow-feathered friend off at the knees. (See also, asshole (n.) )

Whatchu Talkin Bout, Willis??: Debate Reaction Edition

"I don’t know what he was doing out there. He had his head down. He was enduring the debate instead of fighting it. I know he says he doesn’t like to watch cable television, but maybe he should start.” - The inimitable Chris Matthews reacting with a fire the President unfortunately lacked in last night's first Presidential debate and summing up the feelings of this liberal Tellyphile exactly.
